Friday 2/3:
drop dog at boarding
drop kids at Gramma and Grampas
finish laundry
pack
collapse
Saturday 2/4:
hurry to airport at 5 AM
spend all day packed like sardines in middle seats of overbooked non-stop flight that last 6.5 hours but crosses 3 time zones and feels like freaken forever.
drive 1 hour to friends house in possible wintry slush
drink wine
collapse
Sunday 2/5:
Happy Sweet Sixteen Chick! You are the best!
Look at houses with our realtor
Look at more houses
Look at houses without our realtor
Hurry home for Superbowl (Go Seahawks!) (this is football right?)
Cry into my wine that I am not throwing Chick a huge party with food and music or taking her on a cool trip to the city for a show or going to the DMV to register for her permit... (she is at her friends house having the time of her life and doesn't care one way or the other so I should just get over myself eh?)
collapse
Monday 2/6:
lazy morning
go into Boston and show Chick some sights and feed her expensive luxury seafood since we missed her birthday yesterday.
buy her pretty trinkets and dust collectors - maybe 16 of them?
waste time waiting for flight
check in at airport
waste more time
get on another jam packed non stop middle seats sardines forever flight...
arrive Seattle 9:30 PM Pacific time, feeling like 12:30am, and drive 2 hours home to sleeping children and tired babysitter
collapse
Tuesday 2/7:
can't sleep in - up at 6, get kids to school, pick up dog at boarders, go to bible study, hurry home to meet moving company for estimate and then rush into town to meet Chicks Grandma for lunch, worry about how to tell a 90 year old woman that you are moving... again... plan for 'family' birthday party for Chick tomorrow. Blog (finally!)
collapse!
